Mike Bluestone MA CSyP FSyI is the newly appointed Registrar of the Register of Chartered Security Professionals, and in his ‘day-job’ is the Executive Director of Corps Security, where he has worked for the past fourteen years. He has Military experience and has worked in the corporate security sector for over 33 years.

With an MA in Security Management from Loughborough University, Mike is a Chartered Security Professional, a Fellow and former Chair, and Emeritus Chair of the Security Institute. Mike has spent several years as an Ambassador for the Register of Chartered Security Professionals, and was Chair of the Security Institute during 2008-2013, when in 2011 he oversaw the launch of the Register. Mike has been a Member of the London Resilience Academic Partnership; and Chair of the Security Management committee of the British Standards Institution.

Mike led the development of BSI Standard BS16000:2015 ‘Security Management and Operational Guidelines’.

Mike is a Trustee and Vice-Chair of AJEX JMA Veterans charity, and Chair and Trustee of a small Military charity, as well as being President of the Corps Veterans Association. He is also a Governor of Stanmore Further Education College.
